Viral Fan Video Makes Bold Prediction for Taylor Swift’s Super Bowl Future

A new video shared on social media is offering a bold prediction regarding whether Taylor Swift will have something to cheer for at this year’s Super Bowl.

Shared on TikTok by the @nflmemes_tiktok NFL fan account, the video predicts that the Baltimore Ravens will beat the Kansas City Chiefs in today’s AFC Championship game. The “Cruel Summer” singer is widely expected to attend the game to cheer on her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The 83-second video begins on a lighthearted note for Chiefs and Swift fans by showing a clip of Swift, 34, and Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, during a game earlier in the NFL season. As the two laugh while executing a multi-step handshake to the tune of Swift’s “Style (Taylor’s Version),” a message at the top of the video reads, “Taylor Swift and her besties thinking about how fun the Super Bowl is about to be together….”

The video begins flashing as Swift’s song fades out. It then shows images from the Ravens’ M&T Bank Stadium, including a birds-eye view of the field and a clip of white football cleats walking on concrete, before turning again to a clip of Swift looking concerned and putting her hands to her face at an earlier game.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson becomes the star of the video as Metro Boomin’s “Superhero (Heroes & Villains)” with Future and Chris Brown begins to play. Several snapshots of Jackson, 27, appear in succession before an older clip plays showing the quarterback promising to deliver a Super Bowl with his Baltimore team.

“In Captain Lamerica we trust,” the video’s caption says.

Several TikTokers—including those who support other NFL teams—threw their support behind the video’s message, urging Jackson to deliver the AFC Championship win. The TikTok, which was posted on Saturday, amassed more than 1.8 million likes and more than 10.9 million comments by early Sunday afternoon.

“Bro I’ve never ON MY LIFE watched American football but LAMAR JACKSON PLEASE SAVE US,” said one TikToker.

Another person identified themselves as a Pittsburgh Steelers fan but said that if the Ravens are victorious, “I will get a Lamar jersey.”

One TikToker commented that they “can’t wait” to see memes showing “absolute disappointment on Taylor’s face,” while another said they are a fan of the Chiefs but find it “so annoying to see” Swift.

Another noted that the Jan. 28 matchup “might be the most hyped Game of all time.”

“The whole world will be watching Lamar,” they added. “Ravens On Top.”

The AFC Championship is the last game that both teams will play in before Super Bowl LVIII on February 11. Whichever team wins will advance to that final matchup.
