Bruce Springsteen Postpones All 2023 Concert Dates Amid Health Battle

Bruce Springsteen is still not quite ready to make a return to the stage.

It was announced on Wednesday, Sept. 27 that the 74-year-old musician will not be able to move forward with any concert performances for the rest of the year due to an ongoing health issue

The "Dancing in the Dark" singer has been recovering from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks, prompting him to postpone all of his concert dates throughout the month of September

But as his treatment continues through the rest of the year on doctor's advice, all tour dates for Springsteen and The E Street band will now be postponed until 2024, according to a statement shared to X (formerly Twitter.)

"Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement and support," Springsteen himself said in the statement, while assuring fans, "I'm on the mend and can't wait to see you all next year."

The statement promises that rescheduled dates will be announced next week, and they will all be taking place at their originally scheduled venues.

Plus, those unable to attend the new date who purchased their tickets through official ticketing companies will have 30 days to request a refund. All tickets for postponed performances will remain valid for the newly-announced dates.

The cities affected by the tour include several locations throughout Canada, including dates in Vancouver, British Columbia, Montreal, Quebec and Toronto, Ontario. Plus, some U.S. cities will also be affected by the postponement, including Phoenix, Arizona, as well as Inglewood, San Diego and San Francisco in California.
