A Publicist Takes On a Major League Pitcher in Hallmark's 'Hearts in the Game'

Spring isn't spring without baseball—at least to this writer, anyway! In Hallmark Channel's latest Spring into Love film, a publicist takes on a baseball pitcher in hopes to build her business and rehab his image. The only catch: the pitcher was her high school sweetheart!

What is Hearts in the Game about?

Hazel Miller (Erin Cahill) is a top publicist in New York City looking to build her empire. Diego Vasquez (Marco Grazzini) is a major league pitcher for the New York Mets who froze during Game 7 of the World Series. He also happens to be the guy who shattered Hazel’s heart in high school. When Hazel is tasked with spinning Diego’s image, it might be her biggest challenge professionally, and personally, as she takes him back to their hometown in Ohio to deal with what they’ve both left behind.

Erin Cahill (Hazel Miller)

Erin Cahill has starred in multiple holiday films for the network and has appeared in at least one Christmas film every year since 2018 including A Timeless Christmas opposite Ryan Paevey.

Marco Grazzini (Diego Vasquez)

Canadian Marco Grazzini is of Filipino and Italian descent. In 2020, Grazzini starred in two Christmas movies for Lifetime network—Christmas Unwrapped and Lonestar Christmas, the latter of which was the first time he played a Filipino romantic lead in a movie.

Hearts in the Game premieres on Saturday, April 29 at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel.
