Alices Heads Back to the Past to Learn More About Her Family in the Next Episode of 'The Way Home'

The new Hallmark series series with its travel twist immediately got viewers hooked.

Hallmark Channel's newest series, The Way Home, finds Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow), a teen girl with the ability to time travel where she befriends her own mother, Kat (Chyler Leigh) when she was a teen. The series premiere with its time travel twist immediately got viewers hooked and they can't wait to see more.

In this week's episode, "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing," Kat starts a new job at the local paper and finds herself covering a much different kind of story than she did in Minneapolis. The reporter in her becomes suspicious of Alice’s newfound contentment in Port Haven which, unbeknownst to her, is fueled by the time Alice is spending in the past with the Landrys and getting to know her grandfather, Colton (Jefferson Brown) and her uncle, Jacob (Remy Smith), who went missing years ago when he was just a child.

Meanwhile, when Del (Andie MacDowell) gets an offer to buy the boat Colton bought for them, the prospect of selling stirs up mixed emotions.

As she spends time with teen Elliott and Kat, Alice meets other kids their age and is introduced to a "new" hit song from that time era.

With only Elliott (Evan Williams) to confide in, Alice's curiosity about her time travels puts him in awkward situations with other staff at the high school. How amusing is it to see adult Elliott uncomfortable when Alice bursts out a comment that only she and Elliott understand the reference to?

With the time travel twist, and Elliott's knowledge of who Alice from almost the moment they met in the 90s, does that make Elliott's return to Port Haven as an adult inevitable or was it planned? Teen Elliott knew he would have to be back in Port Haven because he knew he'd be helping Alice in the future, right? It's hard to wrap your head around the complexities and side effects of time travel!
