George Clooney Reveals 'Terrible' Parenting Mistake' He Made With His Twins
George and Amal Clooney share 5-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander.
Even George Clooney knows there's no such thing as a perfect parent.
The actor, 61, recently opened up about the big mistake he made with his own two children, who he shares with wife Amal Clooney, 44.
During an appearance on CBS Mornings on Wednesday, Sept. 28, the Clooneys discussed their 5-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, while revealing their one big flub as parents.
"We've made a terrible mistake," George confessed during the conversation with Gayle King. "We taught them Italian."
While that doesn't sound bad, he continued, "But we don't speak Italian," adding, "So we've armed with a language they can harm us with. And we both don't really know what they're saying."
The couple then confirmed that their children are not only fluent in Italian, but they can also speak French as well, along with their mom, who knows both French and Arabic, in addition to English.
But The Tender Bar actor is admittedly less eloquent, joking, "I'm from Kentucky, you know, English is my second language."
Talking more about their little ones, the doting dad revealed that Alexander's favorite superhero is Batman, a character George once portrayed.
"You know I was Batman," George recalled telling his son. "He goes, 'Yeah but not anymore.' If only he knew how true that was."
At the time of the interview, George and Amal were also celebrating their 8-year anniversary as husband and wife, calling their marriage "the easiest thing in our lives" over the years.
"You look at her with such awe," King told George, to which he responded, "I mean, what's not to look at."
"By the way it's our anniversary and we're spending it with you," he told the TV personality, who quipped, "I couldn't think of a better way to spend your anniversary.
