Aida Turturro (of Sopranos fame) portrays Gail in What We Do in the Shadows. Gail is the vampire-werewolf hybrid who captured Nandor’s heart, much to the chagrin of his roommates. She is flighty and breaks Nandor’s heart pretty relentlessly (how fitting!) over a course of decades. An entire episode titled “Gail” is dedicated to their ill-fated romance.
Who is Gail in What We Do in the Shadows?
Gail, portrayed by Aida Turturro, is Nandor’s on-again-off-again love interest for decades. She has often led Nandor on only to reject him. Eventually, after a fling with a werewolf, Gail became one herself. Gail’s constant toying with Nandor’s feelings combined with the fact that she had become a werewolf led to disdain from Nandor’s vampire roommates. A fatal kickball incident led to Gail’s death, causing Nandor to turn her into a vampire to bring her back, which made her a vampire-werewolf hybrid. Even after he saved her life, Gail chose to spurn Nandor’s affection once more and left the roommates to go on her own adventures.

What happened to The Sire in What We Do in the Shadows?
The Sire, also called Goëjlrm, is the vampire that started the vampire line, the oldest living vampire. In season 3 of the show, Nadja and Nandor became the leaders of the Vampiric Council of the Eastern Seaboard of the New World. As part of their duties, it was their job to make sure to continue to feed The Sire on a regular basis. Unfortunately, the often irresponsible twosome got preoccupied with their other duties and forgot. This led to The Sire breaking out of his cell, which led to a worldwide panic in the vampire community as they were unsure what their fates would be if something happened to The Sire.
Eventually, our heroes, accompanied by the recently-exhumed Baron Afanas, were able to track down The Sire to a supermarket in Queens, where he was causing some chaos. Using Baron Afanas as a translator and mediator, they were able to negotiate a compromise with The Sire, who did not wish to return to his cell and was also fearful for his life. An agreement was made that allowed The Sire to live in a house in Nutley, New Jersey with Baron Afanas and Aspen, the hellhound, where they feed off visitors they lure through AirBnb.
The last we saw of The Sire, he was posing with his new roommates in a memorial portrait painting for Colin Robinson.
